Born premature, the Barber twins weren't given very good odds at winding up as professional athletes, but both Ronde and Tiki Barber became prominent football players in the NFL. Their mother was extremely supportive as they grew up, telling her sons, Believe in yourself and others will, too. Tiki broke his leg in a bicycle accident, but he gradually recovered from this mishap, and soon he and his brother vowed to eventually make it to the top of the sports heap together. The Barbers emphasize their mother's steady encouragement, and their story would appeal to a child recuperating from an injury. The spirit of cooperation evidenced by the two brothers might be an inspiration for other siblings as well. The full-color watercolor illustrations depict the Barbers playing various sports.
